How it all started
Every church begins with a calling — and Ubly Christian Church is no different.
It started with a dream planted by the Holy Spirit: come to Ubly and build a church where ordinary people could encounter an extraordinary God — a church that would worship Him passionately, love one another deeply, and reach the lost boldly.
So that's exactly what happened.
On January 28th, 2018, Ubly Christian Church gathered for the very first time at Ubly Heights Golf and Country Club — a small group of people carrying a vision far bigger than themselves. From that first Sunday, the church set its heart on the timeless work of the Gospel: preaching the Word without apology, baptizing believers into new life, and loving this community the way Jesus would.
That vision has only grown clearer with time. We exist to press the fingerprint of Jesus deep into the Thumb of Michigan — until the lost are found, the broken are restored, and every community bears the unmistakable mark of His love.
We are a young church. We carry an ancient mission. And we believe the best is still ahead.

Expanding the vision
At the heart of everything we do is a singular conviction: to place the fingerprint of Jesus on the Thumb of Michigan. We believe this happens when we are rooted in genuine Christian community and committed to living out God's two greatest commandments — to love Him with everything we have, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. As Jesus said, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself' (Matthew 22:37–39). When those two things are true of us, the fingerprint of Jesus shows up everywhere we go.
Where we are headed
We are happy to announce that Ubly Christian has secured property on the corner of Jurgess and Atwater Rd. Now, we drive towards our following phase: saving capital and eventually building a new church building.
In the meantime, the church will continue focusing on making new disciples for Christ and placing the fingerprint of Jesus on everyone we encounter. If you are without a church family, we would love to have you come and see what Ubly Christian all is about.
